"Adulterated Innocence," is a collection of 12 paintings showcasing ways little girls grow up too fast, combining elements of the child with themes of the woman.
​
"Children of War," was inspired by 12 types of news articles coming from Aleppo, Syria, in the 2010s; each painting addresses human rights violations or impact of war among women and children.
​
"Chromesthetics and Lyricism" includes four pairs of paintings, each representing either the meaning or the sound of songs of Pim Stones.
​
"Tale as Old as Time" is Abigail's current project, merging classic paintings with modern scenes of warfare from Ukraine.
Abigail Helser is a self-taught painter and artist based in Alabama. Her art is often bright in color but expresses darker emotions and themes. She creates social commentary art, focusing on themes like sexuality, femininity, innocence, and war. Her seasonal murals can be seen around Huntsville, Alabama, and other art can be found occasionally in exhibits or pop-ups.

ABOUT THE ARTIST


Abigail has received awards for her art and activism since 2008, and has been awarded at NASA Kennedy Space Center, NASA Wallops Island, the U.S. Capitol, and U.S. Department of Labor Headquarters. She has also earned a 2x Commander's Coin Recipient at Redstone Arsenal for her artistic endeavors.
